Picture & Action, also known as Pictionary, is a drawing and guessing board game created by Robert Angel in 1985. The game is played in teams, where players try to convey words or phrases through drawings for their teammates to guess correctly. Each team advances on a board as they get the answers right, and the objective is to reach the end of the board first. At the start of each turn, a player on a team draws a card with a word or phrase written on it and must draw it without using words or numbers. Players have a limited amount of time to draw while their teammates try to guess what is being drawn. Teams can discuss and make guesses during drawing time, but only the final answer counts towards scoring points. If the team guesses correctly within the time limit, they advance up the board. Otherwise, they lose their turn.
